ABOUT US

Member Meetings

The entire, multi-genre C.A.L.M. meets quarterly in June, September, December, and March. Under the umbrella organization are smaller, genre-targeted "society" groups that meet according to their group's needs (we recommend monthly meetings). New genre-specific societies may be created under the C.A.L.M. umbrella by contacting the executive committee.

Skill Sessions

We offer focused, skill-based classes for just about any musical or business-related need for the music community. Whether it's learning sweep-picking or creating a Facebook ad campaign, we've got you covered. If you have a skill that you want to learn that we aren't currently offering, please get in touch with us and we'll get it scheduled.

Societies by Genre

Each genre under the C.A.L.M. umbrella is encouraged to organize a more focused "society" that tends to specific needs of that sub-community. Delegates from each society will be responsible for attending quarterly C.A.L.M. meetings in addition to society meetings. View the current active societies below and contact us if you would like to become a founder of a new society under C.A.L.M.

Register as a C.A.L.M. musician for FREE! We will share knowledge, but we won't share your information without your written permission.

Suggest a New Society

Ideally we would like representation from all genres of music in the Charlotte area. Our intent is to name the societies after historic Charlotte venues (operating or closed) who have hosted many bands in that genre. If you would like to found a new society, please contact us using the form below and let us know what genre and name you would like to use for your society. From there, we'll provide information and best practices for recruiting and managing your group activities.
